The Wild Dog Who Adopted Us

Bear was unlike any dog we have ever had. I didn’t say owned because nobody owned Bear. If anything, he adopted us, not the other way around. We don’t know where he came from, or how old he is, but we made a pretty good estimate of the age. He was more wild dog than he was domesticated; in fact, he was never domesticated. At times, he let us keep him in the house for a few hours at a time, but never for long. And he shunned dog food in favor of what he and Whiskers caught hunting.
